Conneaut

Conneaut (kŏn`ēŏt'), city (1990 pop. 13,241), Ashtabula co., extreme NE Ohio, on Lake Erie, near the Pa. line; settled 1799, inc. 1834. It is a port of entry—an important ore-receiving port and a limestone and coal loading center—and a vacation resort. Conneaut has a railroad museum, with antiques of the steam era.

But Spartech eventually decided that the Conneaut plants were too small and expensive to operate.
James Dale Guckert graduated from Conneaut Lake High School in 1975 and went on to get a degree in education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 1980--he planned to be a social studies teacher.
