Conner, Fox

Conner, Fox (1874–1951) soldier; born in Slate Springs, Miss. An 1898 West Point graduate, he served in a series of staff positions in a long career, including assistant chief of staff for operations, American Expeditionary Force, in France (1917). As a writer on military subjects, he achieved a reputation as a thoughtful student of the military problems of his time.
