Connersville, city (1990 pop. 15,550), seat of Fayette co., E central Ind., on the Whitewater River, in a farm area; founded 1813; inc. as a city 1870. Manufactures include machinery, feeds and fertilizers, chemicals, and metal products. Nearby are two historic covered bridges.
