Conolly, Richard L.

Conolly, Richard L. (1892–1962) naval officer; born in Waukegan, Ill. Following destroyer service in World War I, he commanded the task force which recaptured Guam in 1944. He was president of the Naval War College (1950–53) and of Long Island University (1953–62).
