Koven said the van contained tools taken over the weekend from lockers at construction sites in Carson and Woodland Hills. Additionally, inspectors are monitoring several surrounding construction sites on the Upper West Side to make sure they meet safety requirements. That would include 220 drywall workers at PeaceHealth's RiverBend hospital in Springfield, and up to 55 wall and ceiling workers at other construction sites in the Eugene-Springfield area, said Jack MacDonald, a regional council representative. |
