Conversion of Quantity Representation

    0.01 sec.
Conversion of Quantity Representation

in computer technology, the process of converting machine variables from analog form to digital (analog-to-digital conversion) or vice versa (digital-to-analog conversion). Conversion of quantity representation is necessary, for example, when data is fed to or removed from a digital computer in analog form. Thus, such conversion is involved when, for example, a digital computer is working in a system for automatic control of a technological process or hybrid computing systems are constructed.
