Cooney State Park Location: 22 miles southwest of Laurel on US 212, then 8 miles west of Boyd on county road. Facilities: 76 campsites (6 tent, 70 trailer, 2 @di), flush toilets (é), showers (seasonal), picnic area, boat ramp, boat dock, fish cleaning station, information kiosk. Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, wildlife viewing, birding, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, ice skating. Special Features: This irrigation reservoir, near Red Lodge and Beartooth Mountains, is the most popular recreation area in south-central Montana.
