Monte . a mountain in central Italy: the highest peak in the Apennines. Height: 2912 m (9554 ft.)

Corno 

a mountain peak in Italy, in the Gran Sasso d’Italia (Abruzzi Apennines) massif. Height, 2,914 m (highest point on the peninsula). Formed from limestones and dolomites, Corno has the only glacier in the Apennines (area, 0.06 sq km).
