Coronaritis
inflammation of the coronary arteries of the heart. Coronaritis develops in the presence of acute or chronic infection, infectious and allergic processes, and intoxication. Often it occurs with rheumatism and syphilis. Coronary insufficiency and attacks of stenocardia may result, and in some cases coronaritis provokes myocardial infarction. The prognosis, treatment, and prevention of coronaritis depend on the nature of the primary process. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
