Corpus Christi BayInlet, Gulf of Mexico, southern Texas, U.S. Forming a deepwater harbour for the port of Corpus Christi, it is 25 mi (40 km) long and 3–10 mi (5–16 km) wide and is sheltered on the east by Mustang Island. Its shipping serves the petroleum, chemical, and agricultural industries. The area is popular for sportfishing, waterfowl hunting, and boating.
