Corpuscular Optics

a branch of physics that studies the laws of motion of charged particles (electrons and ions) in electric and magnetic fields. The term “corpuscular optics” represents the profound analogy existing between the motion of particles in these fields and the propagation of light in optically heterogeneous mediums.
