Corrigan, Michael (Augustine) (1839–1902) Catholic prelate; born in Newark, N.J. Ordained in 1863, he taught theology at Seton Hall University (1864–68) where he was president (1868–76) before being named coadjutor bishop (1880) and later archbishop (1885) of New York.
