Crane, (Robert) Bruce (1857–1937) painter; born in New York City. He studied with A. H. Wyant (c. 1877) in New York, and in France (1882). A respected color tonalist and impressionist, as in December Uplands (1919), he maintained a studio in Summit, N.J., and lived in Bronxville, N.Y.
