Craven, Wayne

Craven, Wayne (1930–  ) art historian, writer; born in Pontiac, Ill. He graduated from Indiana University (B.A. 1955; M.A. 1957), and Columbia University (Ph.D. 1958–60). Regarded as a leading historian of American sculpture, he taught at the University of Delaware (1960) and published numerous works, including Sculpture in America: The Colonial Period to the Present (1984).
