(1) A committee formed at congresses and conferences to check the credentials of delegates.

(2) In the USSR, a committee formed by each chamber of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, by the Supreme Soviets of the Union and autonomous republics, and by the local Soviets of working people’s deputies to check the credentials of deputies. The committee is elected at the first session of the Soviet from among the delegates attending the convocation.

The UN Credentials Committee decided last week not to recognize Djedje.
