Crooked River State Park Location: 7 miles north of Saint Mary's, on GA Spur 40; or 8 miles east of I-95 exit 3. Facilities: 62 tent/trailer/RV campsites, pioneer campground, 11 cottages, 5 picnic shelters, winterized group shelter, hiking trails (4 miles), bathhouse, boat ramp and dock, bicycle rental, miniature golf course, nature center. Activities: Camping, boating, kayaking, saltwater fishing, hiking, bicycling, birding. Special Features: Park is located on the south bank of the Crooked River on Georgia's Colonial Coast. Nearby are the ruins of the McIntosh Sugar Works mill, built around 1825; also nearby is the ferry and visitor center for Cumberland Island National Seashore.
