Curtice, Harlowe H. (Herbert) (1893–1962) automobile executive; born in Petrieville, Mich. In a 44-year career at General Motors he began as a bookkeeper, headed the AC Spark Plug and Buick divisions, and became president of the company, the largest U.S. corporation, during the post-World War II boom years (1953–58). He was known for his single-minded focus on sales and national advocacy of corporate issues.
