or tool clamp, a device for fastening a tool (cutting tools, milling cutter blades, etc.) during various types of material cutting operations.

Cutter holders are made in different designs, depending on the construction of the machine and the tool, the positioning of the tool, and the configuration of the object to be worked. Different designs include radial and tangential cutter holders, combination multiblade cutter holders, combination multiple-tool cutter holders, and swinging cutter holders. Cutter holders are used during the working of external and internal surfaces.
