Slavic Numerals

symbols used to denote numbers in the Old Russian system of numeration. The integers from 1 to 9, the tens, and the hundreds were each symbolized by a letter of the Slavic alphabet above which the sign ҃ (called the titlo) was written. Integers up to 999 were written by means of series of Slavic numerals standing together. For example, Slavic Numerals. Here, T̃ = 300, K̃ = 20, and д̃ = 4. Thousands were designated by placing a special symbol before the numeral expressing the number of thousands. [23–1642–]
