(1) (Digital Cinema Initiatives) See digital cinema.

(2) (Display Control Interface) An Intel/Microsoft programming interface for full-motion video and games in Windows. It allowed applications to take advantage of video accelerator features built into the display adapter. DCI required updated display drivers and the DCI DLL from Microsoft. DCI was superseded by DirectDraw starting with Windows 95.
