DOS MSbackup

Starting with DOS 6, the MSbackup program provides a menu-driven backup and restore utility for floppy disks that contains its own help. To run it, type msbackup. The first time you run it, it will ask you to perform a compatibility test to adjust to your computer's hardware configuration. See backup types.

For Windows Users
A Windows version of MSBACKUP.EXE is included with DOS 6 called MWBACKUP.EXE. This is run from an icon in Windows, which is installed in the Microsoft Tools Program Group. In Windows 95/98, an enhanced version of the backup program is included.
