DOS Time/DateAn internal command that sets the system time and date and updates the internal battery-powered clock. Versions previous to 3.3 do not set the internal clock. A separate setup program is used.

TO UPDATE A FILE'S TIME AND DATE To give a file a current time and date without changing it, use the Copy command. For example, to update XYZ.BAT, type:
copy /b xyz.bat+,,
