DOS duplicate file names |

DOS duplicate file namesIf you have DOS 5 or later, you can use the Dir command with the /s switch to find duplicate file names on the hard disk. For example, to list all directories in which the file X.BAT is located, go to the root directory and type:
C:\>dir x.bat /s
If you have a version of DOS previous to 5, you have to use a third-party program such as Norton's File Find (FF.EXE) utility. How to thank TFD for its existence? Tell a friend about us, add a link to this page, add the site to iGoogle, or visit webmaster's page for free fun content. |
