DOS abc's

The DOS abc's are a tutorial for users who want to learn some basic disk concepts and know how to run a program and copy files. The advantage of knowing DOS commands is that you can manage any PC. DOS commands are the common denominator.

WHAT IS DOS?
DOS (pronounced "dahss") stands for disk operating system. It is a master control program that is automatically run when you start your PC. DOS stays in the computer all the time letting you

run a program and manage files.

To use DOS, you must know

where your programs and data are stored

and

how to talk to DOS.
