Although the selection of DVD movies formatted for Blu-ray is meager, Samsung is charging out in front with this model, which is compatible with most of today's standard DVD formats. The Blu-ray Disc Association, which supports one of the two rival and incompatible high-def DVD formats, also announced that Sun Microsystems Inc. As we announced at CES in Las Vegas last January, we agreed to incorporate in our respective products recordable DVD formats promoted by the other to eliminate customers' confusion about the right media to use. |
