A SCSI Daisy Chain
Both internal and external SCSI devices are daisy chained together. Each device has an "in" and "out" port.

daisy chain [′dāz·ē ‚chān]
(computer science)
A means of connecting devices (readers, printers, and so on) to a central processor by party-line input/output buses which join these devices by male and female connectors, the last female connector being shorted by a suitable line termination.

(networking)daisy chain - A bus wiring scheme in which, for example, device A is wired to device B, device B is wired to device C, etc. The last device is normally wired to a resistor or terminator. All devices may receive identical signals or, in contrast to a simple bus, each device in the chain may modify one or more signals before passing them on.

Characteristic of RS-485, of Apple's LocalTalk, and of various industrial control networks; also often used to describe Thinwire Ethernet (10base2).

Those companies doing this will learn that daisy-chaining has diminishing returns in terms of throughput.
It can expand to support up to four simultaneous digital or local users and 256 servers by daisy-chaining.
The product is SAN-ready and fabric-aware, leveraging cable-less dual FC-AL for transfer rates up to 200MB/sec (on the dual loop), but nStor's special value add, aside from the miniscule footprint per GB, is the hot-swappable loop resiliency circuit cards that handle FC retiming and clock recovery on both transmit and receive signals [ldots] all this while serving as an active hub for cabinet daisy-chaining.
