Dandarians
the Persian name for a group of Meotic tribes who lived on the right bank of the Kuban’ River and along the southeast shore of the Sea of Azov in the first millennium B.C. (in the region of the present-day city of Tem-riuk). In the fourth century B.C. the Dandarians were incorporated into the Bosporan state. Their center was the city Sosa. The fate of the Dandarians after the first century B.C. is unknown. They were probably assimilated by the Sarma-tians. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
