Born circa 1360; died circa 1430. Russian artist. Daniil Chernyi worked in the Uspenskii Cathedral in Vladimir (1408) and in the Troitskii Cathedral of the St. Sergius Trinity Monastery in Zagorsk (1420’s) with his friend Andrei Rublev and other master craftsmen.
