Darcy, Thomas Darcy, Baron (där`sē), 1467–1537, English nobleman. He served in a number of military expeditions for Henry VII and for the young Henry VIII. He disapproved of Henry VIII's divorce from Katharine of Aragón, and he became involved in intrigues with the agents of Holy Roman Emperor Charles V against Henry. After the outbreak of the rebellion in the N of England known as the Pilgrimage of Grace Pilgrimage of Grace, 1536, rising of Roman Catholics in N England.
