Darcy's law [′där·sēz ‚lȯ]
(fluid mechanics) The law that the rate at which a fluid flows through a permeable substance per unit area is equal to the permeability, which is a property only of the substance through which the fluid is flowing, times the pressure drop per unit length of flow, divided by the viscosity of the fluid.
