Darley, Felix (Octavius Carr) (1822–88) illustrator; born in Philadelphia. He worked in a mercantile house (1836), became an illustrator (1842), moved to New York City (1848), and settled in Claymont, Del. (1859). He is known for illustrating books by Washington Irving and James Fenimore Cooper.
