dashboard

(1) See Mac Dashboard.

(2) A software-based control panel for one or more applications, network devices or industrial machines. Dashboards display simulated gauges and dials that look somewhat like an automobile dashboard.

(3) (Dashboard) An earlier Windows utility from Starfish Software that provided a centralized control panel for launching applications, finding files and viewing system resources. Originally developed by HP, it was later acquired by Starfish, a subsidiary of Nokia since 2006.
