First Interstate Bancorp will move a data processing unit employing 400 people in downtown Los Angeles to Arizona and Oregon, a First Interstate official told the Business Journal, following two of California's other "Big Four" banks which have recently moved credit card operations out of state. Earnings performance benefited from continued asset growth, increasing yields on originations, and a solid contribution from its fee-based businesses including Metavante Corporation, MI's wholly-owned data processing unit. The HMMWV and LAV platforms, which provide crews with a protected, comfortable environment across temperature extremes of expected operations -- ranging from -25 degrees F to +120 degrees F -- have the most modern nuclear, biological and chemical sensors, integrated with analysis tools, in a computer data processing unit connected to command and control systems. |
