Dataquest offers market intelligence on more than 25 topics and provides conferences, annual subscriptions and custom research. Founded in 1971 as a unit of First Texas Inc., a Houston-based brokerage firm, it was spun off in 1976. In 1978, it was acquired by A.C. Nielsen Company, which itself was acquired by The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation in 1984. In 1995, Dataquest was acquired by the GartnerGroup. See Gartner.
