ANOTHER NEW DAY THE dawn chorus of birds As I lay in my bed A formation of geese Flying overhead Dewdrops on cobwebs In the hedge Make a beautiful Curtain of lace Brush strokes of colour In the morning sky Night into day The transformation takes place Everyone should stop If only for a while See how marvellous This world can be If we greet the new day With a smile And realise all these Beautiful things are free.
IN reply to E Williams (Countryman), I urge him to curb his apparent pity for my wife and I being ' forced'' to block out the dawn chorus.
The Dawn Chorus dance night - normally held at the Flying Circus bar in Huddersfield - moved location to the car park of the Yorkshire Volunteer at Mirfield for the day.
