He was in good order last time at Newbury and we were a bit disappointed, but things didn't work out for him and it was dead ground - today it rained and he was much happier.
That race might have come a bit soon after Down Royal and he might not have enjoyed the dead ground but he certainly came back to form on his latest start.
He has won in heavy ground so that would not be a worry and he goes in anything other than dead ground.
