waterbuck: see marsh antelope marsh antelope, name for members of a group of deerlike African antelopes, usually found in reeds or tall grasses near water. The males of this group have horns that curve back, up, and forward; females are hornless. Most marsh antelopes travel in small herds.

waterbuck

Species of antelope (Kobus ellipsiprymnus) that lives in herds, usually near water, on plains and floodplains and in woodlands and swamps of sub-Saharan Africa. Waterbucks are almost 5 ft (1.5 m) high at the shoulder. Males have long, heavily ridged horns that curve backward and then upward. The coarse, shaggy coat is grayish, and the rump has a white ring.

Sable antelope, greater kudu, defassa waterbuck, wildebeest, ostriches and crowned cranes will be keeping the white rhinoceros company.
Beside the birds, there are 24 species of animals, none carnivorous, including some 24 giraffes, 350 Arabian oryx and 800 golden face oryx and 40 to 45 thousand various types of deer, from elands, defassa waterbuck, Indian blackbuck to barbary sheep and addax.
