Del Ferro, Scipione

Born 1465 in Bologna; died 1526 near Bologna. Italian mathematician.

Del Ferro became a professor at the University of Bologna in 1496. He discovered a method of solving cubic equations of the form x³ + px = q in terms of radicals.
