Delphi Forums
(Delphi Forums, Littleton, MA, www.delphiforums.com) A consumer-oriented Web site that offers self-managed forums on any subject. Similar to UseNet in that messages are posted for subsequent reading at any time, Delphi Forums require all forums to be moderated by the person who originated them or a designated administrator. In the late 1980s, Delphi was an online service, which in 1992, was the first to offer full Internet access, not just e-mail. In 1998, it switched to the forums model.

The message board and chat engine facilities used in the forums is hosted by its parent company, Prospero Technologies (www.prospero.com) and available to other Web sites. In 2000, Prospero was formed from the merger of Delphi Forums and Well Engaged, LLC, which was a leading provider of online community services in the B2B sector.
