Desoxyn (dĕsŏk`sĭn), trade name for the drug methamphetamine hydrochloride. See amphetamine amphetamine , any one of a group of drugs that are powerful central nervous system stimulants. Amphetamines have stimulating effects opposite to the effects of depressants such as alcohol, narcotics, and barbiturates.
