Detroit Lake State Recreation Area

Location: Off OR 22, 50 miles east of Salem.
Facilities: 106 full hookup campsites, 72 electrical hookup campsites, 133 tent campsites, showers, restrooms (é), picnic area, moorage docks, nature/visitor center, playgrounds, observation decks, amphitheater, store.
Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, jet skiing, wildlife viewing.
Special Features: Park features the 400-foot-deep Detroit Lake, created in 1953. Lake is nine miles long and has more than 32 miles of shoreline, with two swimming areas.
