Dewey, Bradley

Dewey, Bradley (1887–1974) chemical engineer; born in Burlington, Vt. He designed and produced gas masks during World War I. In 1919 he formed Dewey & Almy Chemical Company to manufacture sealing compounds, wraps, bags, soldering fluxes, and the like. Following World War II, he became involved in the U.S. guided missile program and atomic bomb test evaluation.
