Dezful
a city in southwestern Iran, on the Dez River (Shatt al Arab river basin) in Khuzistan Province. Population, 105,400 (1966). The city has rice-milling and cotton-ginning plants, as well as canneries. There is a handicraft industry producing carpets, leather, and other goods. Dezful is a center of the leather and wool trade.
