Dialpad

An Internet phone service (VoIP) from Dialpad Communications, Inc. (www.dialpad.com). Dialpad offers a variety of plans for calling any number from your PC (softphone) or from a regular phone plugged into an adapter. Dialpad was founded as Serome Technology in 1996 by Dr. Hyunduk Ahn. In 1999, the company changed its name to Dialpad.com and began to offer the first free, Java-based softphone service. In June 2005, Dialpad was acquired by Yahoo! in order to expand its product offerings in the VoIP marketplace.
