Apply a tick repellent that contains diethyltoluamide or permethrin to your clothing, shoes and any gear you are carrying such as a backpack.
Travellers should utilise personal protection measures such as permethrin-coated bednets and clothes, avoidance of mosquitoes, and use of diethyltoluamide (DEET)-containing insect repellants.
The natural, low odour repellent has been developed using an extract of Chinese Eucalyptus Citriodora plant, known as Menthoglycol, clinically proven to be as active as the usual chemical Diethyltoluamide (DEET) treatments and, unlike DEET-based treatments, can also be safely used by children and pregnant women.
