Dillon, (Thomas Church) Tom (1915–86) advertising executive; born in Seattle, Wash. He was a copywriter who, during a 42-year career with the New York advertising agency BBDO, created advertisements for such clients as Cream of Wheat and Northern Pacific Railway. He rose to be the agency's president (1964–75), chief executive officer (1967–77), and chairman (1975–80). |
