discharge tube [′dis‚chärj ‚tüb]
(electronics)
An evacuated enclosure containing a gas at low pressure, through which current can flow when sufficient voltage is applied between metal electrodes in the tube. Also known as electric-discharge tube.
(mechanical engineering)
A tube through which steam and water are released into a boiler drum.

Gas discharge tubes are capable of conducting more current in respect to their size as compared to the other components.
The Coni-Steel design features conical cornerless feed hoppers, the ability to quickly disassemble, clean, reconfigure or service the feed screw, motor(s) and the internal feed hopper from the non-process without removing extension hoppers, inlet valves and discharge tubes, floor or hanging mount configurations, and totally integrated and pre-wired volumetric and gravimetric control packages.
If unloading does not take place over a concrete pad or other easily cleaned surface, place plywood sheets or other material under the discharge tubes to catch spilled or purged material.
