The permittee should verify that each shipment of fuel oil received is distillate oil by obtaining fuel oil supplier certifications.
Polk Power Station currently includes Polk Unit 1, a 250-MW integrated coal gasification combined cycle (IGCC) baseload facility and Polk Units 2 and 3, 160-MW natural gas or distillate oil fueled peaking units.
Natural gas will be the primary fuel, with distillate oil as a backup, at all three plants.
