DIV tag

DIV tag
(DIVision tag) An HTML tag that is widely used to break apart a Web page into elements, each with its own layout attributes. The SPAN tag is somewhat similar to DIV, except that SPAN defines a small amount of text, whereas DIV defines an entire block of data on the page.

[Remove spaces before and after "<" & ">"] Using a div tag for a layout or background color is a better option when you're working with a single-column layout.
Avoid using generic span and div tags and only making things clear to the user through CSS font sizes: instead, use every 'semantic' HTML tag that applies to your content.
To associate the class to the object, simple add "class=rcol" to the paragraph tag, or the table tag if it''s in a table, or div tag if it''s in a div, etc.
