C6H4(CHCH2)2Polymerizable, water-white liquid used to make rubbers, drying oils, and ion-exchange resins and other polymers; forms include ortho, meta, and para isomers. Also known as vinylstyrene.

It was identified as divinylbenzene, an irritant to eyes, skin and the respiratory tract.
They found that an absorbent--polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) solid phase microextraction (SPME) fiber--was more appropriate for extracting beef flavors than a divinylbenzene (DVB)-Carboxen-PDMS fiber.
